Be Part of the FerryHawks - Staten Island's New Professional Baseball Team!
Help build year-round sports and entertainment at the ballpark by the Staten Island Ferry

The FerryHawks are a new professional baseball team playing in the Atlantic League starting in April, 2022.  The team is owned by Staten Island Entertainment which is led by Chairman John Catsimatidis and President Eric Shuffler. Staten Island Entertainment has a lease with NYC that allows them to operate the ballpark year-round including the planning of entertainment and community events. We are in the process of building our staff and organization and creating local partnerships. Our season begins on April 21, 2022 with our home opener May 3, 2022.

We are excited about the potential to have Wagner College, St. John's University, and College of Staten Island students work with us as interns starting in the Spring 2022 semester. The internship is for-credit only and we will work with you to meet your hourly weekly requirements towards class credit. Students of all majors & class years are welcome to apply. 

A sports franchise is in many ways similar to running a hospitality and entertainment business and internships will provide real life experience to engage in multiple aspects of operating the business. This will include participating in revenue generating activities such as sales and sponsorship pitches and sales and sponsorship strategy development; development of marketing approaches and materials, social media engagement including graphic and video design and content creation. Within these broad areas of revenue generation, marketing, social media, and game day operations, we will work with students to craft meaningful work opportunities. Students can list this internship on their resumes as being with the Staten Island FerryHawks baseball team.

Internships Available: 
  • Sports & Entertainment Management - Rotational Internship (this is our broadest internship and students will be exposed to various aspects of team operations)
  • Sports & Entertainment - Marketing & Social Media Internship
  • Sports & Entertainment Management - Business Development and Revenue Internship
